Approved for personal & education org but no benefits available

Hi everyone,

This is another "where are my academic benefits?" question, so apologies for playing this song again.

I was approved back in December for both my personal and organization accounts. The "approved" chip is purple, not green like in the documentation, though. I do not see any way to flip a switch in the UI, as my personal settings page for Copilot says I'm using the free plan.

All I am trying to do is use Copilot within VS Code without having it stop working at some point during the month.

When I go to The Education for Teachers page it acts as though I'm not a member, because it asks me to join. But I have done that already.

I will be teaching a class of anywhere from 20 to 100 students in the fall semester that is specifically about AI-involved tooling, so I really need to understand exactly what the students will go through to get access to all of this.

How to enable Copilot Pro for GitHub Education verified students/teachers?
Once you have been successfully approved as a verified student or educator, your academic benefits will become available within a few days. You will receive an email when your academic benefits are ready to be redeemed.

Once the benefits are applied, Copilot Pro can be claimed via the benefits page or this signup link.

I'll be sure to include that when I tell the students to go forth get their student benefits.
