How to use: Windows (External Uploader)
Releases after v3.0.1 will include prepacked external uploaders. If you download from there, skip the parts until "Run the ownshot.exe
file".
Download external uploader (some official ones available here).
Download and extract latest version of ownshot somewhere. I have it on my Documents/OwnShot folder. It looks like this.
Extract/move etc the external uploader to the same folder as ownshot.exe. If it comes with an ini, replace the ownshot.ini with that, if it doesn't open your ownshot.ini file and set UploadMethod
to the name of the uploader. Include .exe
. Configure DeleteMode
as you want (it removes local files after uploading).
Final result of ini should look this way:
Run the ownshot.exe
file.
If you want to run it at startup, open the startup folder (Run (Win+R
): shell:startup
) and copy a shortcut of the ownshot.exe
file to the startup directory. Be sure to use a shortcut as ownshot keeps a copy of your screenshots at the running directory (unless you have deletemode enabled, but still, it has ico, config etc etc), if you fail to do it, you might be welcomed by hundreds of pictures at your next restart.
