Your system information

Please describe your issue in as much detail as possible:

  • I expect Dota 2, with fastest video settings, to run on my machine smoothly
  • Instead I experience horrible lags, FPS drops to less than 5, it takes up to 30 seconds for some textures to load
  • Here's the video of lags - https://youtu.be/HFTfrGUoniM

What I tried to do (nothing helped)

  • I tried a bunch of things - 2 Linux distros (Ubuntu 20.04.6, latest Manjaro Linux)
  • 2 different Linux kernels on Manjaro (6.12.12-2 and 6.1.127-2)
  • 4 versions of Proton: 6.3, 7.0, 9.0, Experimental
  • A bunch of different command line options for Vulkan, advised by people with some kind of FPS drops on Linux

Steps for reproducing this issue:

  1. Install latest Manjaro Linux and Steam Native.
  2. Launch Dota 2
  3. See the lags

Hey,

I'm facing the same issue on the latest Fedora KDE, kernel 6.13.5. Not sure what to post to add additional context but it was working fine before the 7.38b patch.

I'm running on an Asus G512LI laptop w/ an i5-10300H and a GTX1650Ti but I don't think it is a hardware issue. Game runs fine on my dual-booted windows.

Please let me know if and how I can add additional context.

Thanks for the info, I removed the "hardware related" part from the starting message.
