Database does not seem to delete from device when uninstalling the app on an Android device, or choosing delete data from App Info #1126

This has been tested on a couple of Android devices. When you delete records from a database from within the app which creates an empty database with no rows, and then uninstall/reinstall the app the records come back. This also happens if you choose App Info from your device home screens by holding down on the app and then choosing delete data. It will clear the data, but when you uninstall the app and reinstall the records that were deleted all come back.

Even if you don't delete any records from within your app and uninstall the app and reinstall I would sort of expect a new fresh database being created after re-installing.

Could it have something to do with backups that's being triggered each time the app is reinstalled?

I guess it is related to Google One backup, which by the way no one seems to know how it works.

Take a look at Google Drive --> Storage --> Backups and see if your app is listed there. If so, trigger a new backup with your app uninstalled to override the previous backup data.
