Steps to reproduce

Try to remap any key to "Control" or "Shift"

It just "sends" this key, but does not work as a modifier (i.e. active while held down).

✔️ Expected Behavior

I expected, that the app is smart enough to detect, when the target is a modifier (ctrl, shift, alt, altgr) that it replicates this keys behavior

❌ Actual Behavior

it seems, it's just something like a simple "SendKey"

  • Please make the tool smart enough to handle modifier keys OR
  • add a checkbox to the recording/settings dialog of the keyboard manager, something like "[ ] Modifier Key"
