Identify parts including

  • passive components and their values
  • All chips and their datasheets
  • shields and arduino
  • find prices

This task could be broken down if this appears like too much to do at once

looking at the parts, the strategy will be to include a high level module description in the README, then have a detailed list of BOM for each description in the Wiki

You might be interested in this spreadsheet from the Project Google Drive.
I unfortunately didn't have sources for everything, as some components were sourced as parts of kits, and others were hand-built by Thomas at the Hospital machine shop.
A lot of descriptions and links are there though.
