Describe the bug

  • Git hub co-pilot chat window in Xcode is not responding to the chat, it is actually responding but the chat is not visible in light mode of Xcode, as soon as you switch Xcode to dark mode, the chat appears.

Versions

  • Copilot for Xcode: [e.g. 0.31.0]
  • Xcode: [e.g. 15.2.0]
  • macOS: [e.g. 13.7.2]

Steps to reproduce

  1. Open Xcode in light mode
  2. open copilot chat window
  3. Enter some keywords, ex: Hello, How are you?
  4. Press enter, chat is not visible.
  5. Now change the Xcode theme to dark and restart Xcode
  6. now open chat and you can see the previous chat.
  7. chat is also truncated from left side.

Additional context
This is a basic feature and should be available, for light mode users chat window is useless, this should have been covered.

@harishpathak thanks for reaching out. I cannot reproduce it on macOS 15.3, not sure if this is related to OS version. will try to find an old OS version to see if it's reproducible.

@harishpathak we published a new pre-release 0.31.104 (https://github.com/github/CopilotForXcode/releases/tag/0.31.104), that fixed chat panel not working issue in macOS 13.0. Feel free to give a try and let us know if it works for you.
