Change parse printing output

Hi,

I was wondering if there is a way to change the function clap uses to print to the terminal?

I saw there is a way to parse arguments that aren't straight from the terminal, but I can't seem to find any way to change how clap prints text.

I would like to send the text (e.g. ./command --help) to somewhere that's not stdout

As you said, we have _with variants of parse functions to accept a custom argv. We also have try variants of parse functions that return an Error which supports Error::render and impl Display for Error. You can use use_stderr to know whether the error was expected (e.g. --help, --version) or not (e.g. invalid argument)
