I think we are approaching the point where we need a top-level glossary of component names, listed alphabetically, with links to their appropriate READMEs.

https://chromium.googlesource.com/chromiumos/docs/+/master/containers_and_vms.md#Overview would be my inspiration if I start writing it (apart from wanting to list things alphabetically, more like an index).
