Feature Request: Add the path to the database file to the site settings #820
Comments
Thanks for adding a feature request @jonathanbossenger . Would #22 help you instead? |
@wojtekn good question. In my original walkthrough, I did think that it would be great if Studio supported something like TablePlus out of the box; I mostly logged this because I thought it would be an easier "low hanging fruit". If #22 was supported, adding something about TablePlus to the Studio docs would also be useful because some folks might not know about the tool. |
@jonathanbossenger thanks for sharing more details. As regards docs, we currently have this question&answer: https://developer.wordpress.com/docs/developer-tools/studio/frequently-asked-questions/#13-how-can-i-manage-the-studio-site-s-sqlite-database- |
I know, and that's one of the reasons I created this ticket, because I can't remember every time where the db is stored, so I have to go find the doc, to then find the file. If I had either #22 or this, it would be easier to open the DB without hunting in the docs. :-) |
What
In order to open the database with a SQLite tool, it would be handy to include the path to the database file in the site settings, for easy copying.
Why
This will make it easier to point any external SQLite database tool to the site database
